You’ll encounter many bridges and locks when sailing on Frisian waterways. To make your trip as enjoyable and easy as possible, we’ve listed all the operating times for the various bridges and locks.

1 November - 1 April
The bridges and locks are open upon request from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. You can call 0031 58-29 25 888 from Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This applies only to the provincial bridges.

1 April - 1 November
From 1 April - 1 November the bridges are open daily from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, this also only applies to the provincial bridges. In June, July and August, you can sail through until 8:00 pm.

EXCEPTIONS
Most of the bridges and locks are closed on 1 January and 25 and 26 December.
