Our wooden holiday home is nestled in the woods of Appelscha, Friesland, and can be reached via a scenic path once used only by the shepherd and his flock.

The cabin sits on an 800 m² forest plot, with private parking and plenty of space for children to play. From the house, you can walk or cycle straight into the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. Just 500 metres away you'll find Appelscha’s open-air forest pool — the perfect spot for swimming and summer fun. A little further down the road is the De Hildenberg golf course. In autumn, the forest is perfect for long walks, and when you return, the wood-burning stove will be waiting for you.
Outside on the terrace, there’s a large picnic table. Step inside and you’ll enter a bright, Scandinavian-style living room with high ceilings, a cozy wood stove, a spacious sofa, and a well-equipped kitchen that makes the house feel like a true home.
The open kitchen includes everything you need to cook up a great meal. There are three bedrooms:

The master bedroom has a plush double box spring bed.

The second room, perfect for sleeping, playing or relaxing, has two bunk beds and a wall-mounted TV with DVD player.

The third bedroom features two comfy beds and plenty of storage space.
The bathroom offers a warm shower, washbasin and toilet. To make your stay as comfortable as possible, you’ll also find a washing machine and dryer in this space.
