Forest cabin Friesche Duin is the sibling of Forest cabin Nij Hildenberg — a beautifully newly built cabin in the woods of Appelscha. On the outside, it features the same signature black Scandinavian look.

When you enter the cabin, you're welcomed by an open white space, oak beams, and a bold concrete floor. The Scandinavian interior with industrial touches instantly makes you feel at home.
Our wooden holiday home is tucked away in the woods of Appelscha, Friesland, and is accessible via a scenic path once walked only by the shepherd and his flock. The cabin sits on an 800 m² forest plot with private parking and plenty of room for kids to play. From the house, you can walk or cycle straight into the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. The forest pool of Appelscha is just a short walk away.
The cabin has three bedrooms: a master bedroom with a double bed, a room with two single beds, and a third bedroom with two bunk beds. The bathroom includes a walk-in shower and toilet, and there's a second toilet in the hallway. The spacious kitchen is equipped with an oven, Nespresso machine, and dishwasher. A long dining table invites you to linger over shared meals. From the cozy sitting area, French doors open up to a large garden with a covered veranda. The lounge sofas and hanging chair are sure to become your favorite summer spot.
