De Vrije Vogel is quietly located in the middle of nature on the edge of the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. In addition to the two group accommodations, you can also stay here in the associated hotel. There is an indoor swimming pool on site that you can use for free as a guest of De Vrije Vogel. From the site you walk into the woods via a paved footpath. From March 2023, the swimming pool will be replaced by a wellness square with sauna Jacuzzi and Hydro bath.
Location
De Vrije Vogel is located in the middle of nature, near the Drents-Friese Wold and the Schaopedobbe. The location is roughly between the agricultural village of Elsloo and the larger village of Appelscha. In Appelscha you will find everything you need, a supermarket, various shops and restaurants. You can drive to Appelscha in less than 10 minutes by car. Also near De Vrije Vogel is the children's amusement park Duinen Zathe, which is recommended for the whole family.
