The Wyldemerk is a nature reserve with an idyllic lake. It is connected to the Slotermeer and the Fluessen. The Wyldemerk was created by a sand excavation. A marvellous piece of nature arose.
The water is surrounded by shrubs and woods with marshy meadows and pools. The water attracts birds and insects. Kingfishers like to skim over the water here. Via a hiking trail you can reach the dragonfly reserve with up to 35 different kinds of dragonflies in summer. There are dragonfly information panels, there is a bike path, and you can sit on picnic benches. You can also moor your boat on one of the quays. Visitor centre Mar en Klif regularly organises nature excursions here.
