Visit Laaksum, the picturesque fishing village on the IJsselmeer.
Laaksum is located on the northern coast of the IJsselmeer and is also known as the village with the smallest fishing harbor in Europe. It has only a few dozen residents and consists of a few houses and a farmhouse.
In the past, Laaksum was a genuine fishing village, but the construction of the Afsluitdijk marked the end of fishing activities here. Despite that, you can still experience the atmosphere of traditional fishing culture in Laaksum. The beautiful location along the dike makes the village an ideal place to visit.
