A unique and free festival along special historic ships on the Westerkade

Free admission family festival "FARSK" (Frisian for 'fresh' or 'pure')

For 3 days, approximately 80 large historic ships will be moored in the city centre of Leeuwarden. Numerous nautical and quay-related activities have been organized on and around the festival site, for all ages, and all in the context of water. And especially FRESH water. Come by and enjoy:

  • Ships with their skippers
  • Live music on the water
  • Ongoing film programme
  • Delicious street food
  • Kids Corner with ship bingo, tough games and much more
  • Free SUP lesson

Monday August 5
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm:  Festival site open
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm:  Sail-In (via Verlaatsbrug)
7:00 pm - 8:30 pm:  Children's programme (Kids Corner)
8:30 pm - 10:00 pm:  Walk along ships

Tuesday August 6
12:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Walk along ships
2:00 pm - 8:00 pm:  Children's programme (Kids Corner)
2:00 pm - 10:00 pm: Festival site open

Wednesday August 7
9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Sail-Out (via Vrouwenpoortsbrug)
