This small-scale, unique adventure takes you back to basics: nature, water and conviviality. Ideal for those who want to ‘get away from it all’ and are looking for a micro adventure you can experience in one weekend.

During this adventure, you step into a canoe and paddle through Friesland's most beautiful waterways. It is not about speed, but about enjoying the surroundings, the company and the small moments that feel great.

The Micro Canoe Adventure is specially designed to give you a sense of freedom and adventure, even if you are only away from home for one night.

The route: towards Camping de Zilveren Maan

The journey starts at Copini Buitensport at 10:00 am on Saturday June 7, of course an ideal place to start this wonderful adventure ;). Here you get into your canoe and start a beautiful trip towards the quiet lakes. You cover approximately 15 kilometers per day, a distance that is feasible for everyone.

After an active day of canoeing, you will arrive at the Zilveren Maan campsite, where you can freshen up for the delicious barbecue that we have planned for the evening. Enjoy delicious food, share stories with your fellow travelers and look forward to a peaceful night under the stars.

Activities during the Micro Canoe Adventure
This adventure is more than just canoeing. The programme is full of highlights, you will go canoeing through picturesque landscapes, have a barbecue on Saturday evening and spend the night at the campsite where you can completely relax under the starry sky.
On Sunday you start the day with your own breakfast, after which you go back on the water for the last leg of this special adventure. On Sunday, make sure you are back at Copini Buitensport at 3:00 PM to hand in the materials.

Practical information about the Micro Canoe Adventure

•  Dates: The adventure takes place during the Pentecost weekend (Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 June).
• Distances: You paddle approximately 15 kilometres per day, you can do this for as long as you want.
• Location: Start and end location at Copini Outdoor sports and overnight stay at Camping de Zilveren Maan.
• Costs: Including canoe, a barrel to put your valuables in, barbecue and guidance.
• Requirements: Suitable clothing, a waterproof bag (at your own risk) and a good dose of enthusiasm.
• Age: At least 1 person must be 18+ years old. In addition, the minimum age is 6 years, including a swimming diploma. But at least 2 people paddling.

  Tips for a successful canoeing adventure
  1. Clothing: Choose quick-drying clothing and layers so that you are prepared for all weather conditions.
  2. Protection: Forget sunscreen and a hat against the sun.
  3. Waterproof bag: Handy for your phone, snacks and other personal items.
  4. Slow pace: It's about enjoyment, not speed. Take the time to absorb nature.
  
  Have you become enthusiastic? Then we would like to receive your registration. We only have 8 canoes available for this adventure, so be quick.
  
  A standard registration has a place for 2 adults, and possibly an extra place for a child, in your own Canadian canoe.
