Once a year, Art Connection, together with many artists, organizes the warmest and most welcoming winter art market in the northern Netherlands. More than 50 artists (many from the northern provinces) showcase their newest, most striking, and most daring artworks. Almost all forms of art are represented at this free art market.
A special highlight is the Frisian version of "Between Art and Kitsch" on Saturday, February 15, where visitors to the art market can have their paintings and objects discussed and potentially appraised. Former employees of the Fries Museum will take their time to calmly review the object. Registration must be done via email (artconnection@chello.nl) before February 8. The cost is €5 per person, with a maximum of 2 objects.
The winter edition of Art Leeuwarden is free to visit on both Saturday, February 15, and Sunday, February 16, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the lobby of the WestCord WTC Hotel.
With its diverse forms of art, the warm atmosphere—both literally and figuratively—and the availability of food and drinks, it's the perfect weekend to enjoy yourself.
