Exhibition Fr11slân through the eyes of Vermeer
Museum Sloten, Sloten
For this community project, Randolph Algera and Gabriëlle Weste portrayed Frisian cityscapes and striking inhabitants in the style of Vermeer
Take a look
In the community project 'FrIIslân through the eyes of Vermeer' you will see nominated neighborhoods and residents from the eleven Frisian cities in an innovative setting à la Vermeer. The artist duo Gabriëlle Westra and Randolph Algera made a painting of all eleven Frisian cities: Randolph made cityscapes of nominated neighbourhoods, Gabriëlle depicted striking inhabitants.
Previously, 'Fr11slân through the eyes of Vermeer' was shown in the Vermeer Center in Delft and in the hall of the Fries Museum, after which they continued their 'Eleven Cities Tour' in a number of other Frisian cities. From September 7 they will visit Sloten, where they can be seen until October 20.
The monumental former town hall of Sloten – now Museum Sloten – is a beautiful and stylish backdrop for this special traveling exhibition!
