The inscription on the bell reads: “Cast by Jacobus van Bergen in Midwolda in 1722, my predecessor cast by Jan Crans in Enkhuizen was stolen by the German occupier in 1943 / I was gifted to Legemeer through the generosity of Lady A.A. van Eijsinga in 1948.”
