In It Annahûs, you can enjoy the space, the free roaming chickens and guinea fowls, and a wide view over the meadows of the very attractive tourist region of Southwest Friesland.

Holiday home It Annahûs is a recently refurbished, self-contained apartment in our farm with its own driveway, access, and parking space. On your private terrace you can enjoy the sun during the day and a campfire under the star-spangled sky. We, Jan and Pauline, met in 2008 through the Dutch version of the tv-show Farmer Wants a Wife.

On our farm we keep about thirty dairy cows, dozens of chickens, cats, a dog, and guinea fowls. Apart from the cows, all animals run about freely in the yard. On arrival you can find a box of fresh eggs from our chickens in your kitchen.

Under our guidance you’re welcome to take a look in the cowshed or join us when we put the cows to pasture. In summer you can swim or cast a fishing line in the flowing canal that borders one of our pastures. There is a large trampoline near the cowshed.

If you are open to it, we would be happy to treat you to a cup of coffee, tea, or other drink on our terrace during your stay.

Our farm is situated just outside the museum village of Allingawier. Various cycling and walking routes, including the Zuider Zee route, run past our farm. Lake IJssel (IJsselmeer) is 3 kilometres from here and you are less than 10 minutes away from the Wadden Sea. Harlingen, Sneek, Bolsward, and Workum, four of the Frisian Eleven cities, are located within a radius of 20 kilometres.

Southwest Friesland is rich in many sights and hiking, cycling, and car routes. In the hall of It Annahûs, you can find a leaflet rack with, amongst other information, museum flyers and information on boat trips and attractions in the area.
