This cycling tour narrated by Dutch author and forester Arjan Postma invites you to explore the literal and figurative highlights of Appelscha and the surrounding area.

At the start of the tour you climb the Bosbergtoren tower. This gives you a spectacular overview of the whole area. Halfway along the route you climb another tower.

You visit Drents-Friese Wold National Park, skirt the border between the provinces of Friesland and Drenthe and see the beautiful Aekingerzand sand dunes.

The tour stops at several interesting places along the way, but of course you may also want to stop elsewhere. With so many highlights along the way, the tour will almost certainly take longer than you expect!
