Kuiertocht Itens

(8.2 km)

This Kuiertocht takes you through picturesque villages, along narrow paths, over bridges through the meadows, and past farms. From Itens, you'll walk along the Draversdyk towards Rien.

The Draversdyk is straight as an arrow. In the past, horse races with horse and carriage were held here. The village of Rien was known for centuries for its horse market. Just after Rien, you'll walk along a narrow path to Lytsewierrum, a beautiful village with a protected village view. Along the way, you'll pass a swallow wall. After a stroll around the Gertrudis church, you'll leave the village via the Tsjerkeleane. Passing through the village of Reahûs, you'll walk back through the meadows to your starting point in Itens.
