Cycling route Sneekermeer (short)

Cycling tour around the Sneekermeer (Official and Frisian: Snitser Mar). This route can be cycled throughout the entire year.

You start in Terherne and cycle along the pools of the Sneekermeer. You pass through Frisian villages such as Goingarijp and Broek. Want to extend the route? Then, pay a visit to Joure and Sneek. From Sneek, you cycle along the beautiful bike path of the Groene Dijk.

In addition to this 'short' variant, there is another cycling route around the Sneekermeer. This one is 66km long. With this route, you cycle through Sneek and Joure and continue cycling up to the northernmost point of the Tjeukemeer [Tsjûkemar].

Church and bell tower Goïngarijp

Zwettepoel Recreational Lake

In the slightly raised waterside graveyard in Broek there is a white wooden bell tower with a four-sided dome roof. The swinging bell was cast by Hendrik Wegewaert in 1600.
